2025 has been a special year for us in many ways—not least because we are celebrating our 10th anniversary.
Over this time, our team has grown considerably. Our group photo was taken in September during our retreat in Slenaken—on a playground. And that suits us well: play fosters creativity, collaboration, and well-being, all of which help us move forward as a team.

We used the retreat not only to cook and do sports together with the team from terrestris, but also to focus intensively on our substantive work. This year, we successfully completed 20 projects, covering a wide range from research and public administration to energy, environmental, and telecommunications projects, as well as assignments for international organizations. We are excited about the projects and challenges that await us in the coming year!
Openness, open data, and open-source software form the foundation of our work. Against this background, we launched our webinar series this year. In free online seminars, we shared our methods on various topics. The recordings are available on our YouTube channel.
The first webinar of the new year is already scheduled: on January 15, we will focus on how Earth observation (EO) and remote sensing data can be used to systematically assess heat risks. Register now—we look forward to your participation!
At the turn of the year, there is also a change in our management:
We would like to sincerely thank Markus Eichhorn for his commitment and contributions over the past years. At the same time, we are pleased that Dr. Elisabeth Panzenböck, previously a project manager, will take over the management role from January.
The mundialis team wishes you restful holidays and a successful start to 2026!
