mundialis specializes in the analysis of remote sensing data, the processing of voluminous geodata and software development in these areas.

We offer scalable products based on this data that can be integrated into existing applications. Free and open source geo-information systems are used, which enable customized solutions for our customers.

With our thematically diverse order situation, we need support in the administration, planning and organizational implementation of our projects. The focus is on contact with the customer and partners, but also on our internal communication with those involved in the project.

Your tasks

Assist staff with projects and the following activities:

  • Processing and evaluation of remote sensing data
  • Time series analyses of long-term observational data
  • Creating classifications by means of machine learning
  • Writing scripts and programs for data analysis in Python or other scripting languages.
  • Processing of all kinds of geodata with OpenSource GIS (QGIS, GRASS GIS)
  • Documentation and presentation of concepts and project results in German and English language

Your profile

You ideally have …

  • a degree in geoscience geoinformatics, geodesy, geodata management or remote sensing
  • first experience with OpenSource GIS (QGIS, Grass GIS)
  • Basic knowledge of programming with Python or other scripting languages
  • Interest in an internship of at least three months with us
Preferred qualification
  • General knowledge of the geographic information or IT industry, geographic information systems, geospatial data, open source software, or geospatial services remote sensing,
  • Interest in OpenData, OpenSource and working with free software
  • Membership or interest in OSGeo, OGC etc. is an advantage
