As part of our environmental management system and ISO 19001 certification, which we received at the end of 2023, we aim to minimize the environmental impact of our travel activities. The amount of CO₂e emitted due to company mobility is to be offset at the beginning of the year for the previous year
As the environmental management system was still being set up last year, compensation has now been paid retrospectively for 2021 and 2022.
Emissions from mobility at mundialis in 2021 and 2022 amounted to 9,186t CO₂e.
- 2t were offset by supporting the rewetting of the KlimaMoor “Am Löh”, Ahlenmoor in Lower Saxony. The Ahlenmoor includes shore areas of the Dahlem and Halemer lakes as well as the Flögelner lake (roughly in the middle of the lower half of the picture).
- 7t were offset through the Qori Q’oncha Improved Cookstove Program, which promotes the use of more efficient cookstoves in rural areas of Peru.
- The remainder of 0.186t CO₂e will be offset together with the emissions from 2023.
